This program is designed for Penn State undergraduates who wish to spend a semester studying in Africa with a focus on social sciences and research. The program is located at Ghana’s premier university–The University of Ghana–where students will combine specially designed courses with direct enrollment courses at the University.
All students are required to take either a specially designed course in sociology (either SOC 299: Issues in Contemporary African Society, or SOC 499: Research Methods) for 3 credits plus an additional four courses chosen from among the offerings at the University of Ghana (12 credits).
For further information, contact Prof. Francis Dodoo (email@example.com). Further information and the on-line application can be found on the Legon: University of Ghana page on the Education Abroad website.
