Welcoming the AESEDA Visitor: A Meet-and-Greet Celebration
AESEDA, in partnership with Doumon’s Sustainable Energy, Materials, and Device Engineering (SEMDE) research group, are currently hosting Dr. Pascal Surgi Fuseini Nbelayim for an extended visit spanning June to September 2023. Hailing from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana, Dr. Pascal brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of materials science and engineering. This welcome meeting served as a wonderful opportunity for AESEDA affiliates to forge strong connections with Dr. Pascal in a diverse array of research.
The event commenced with an introduction session, wherein Dr. Pascal shared his remarkable life journey, encompassing his educational background, notable research achievements, and his visit to AESEDA. His inspiring narrative captivated the attendees, and set the stage for subsequent discussions. In particular, AESEDA members engaged in constructive and fruitful dialogues with Dr. Pascal, exploring avenues for potential collaborations with the University of Ghana. Such collaborations hold the promise of addressing pressing needs of underrepresented communities, specifically focusing on youth and students, and will be guided by shared principles of inclusivity, knowledge exchange, and socio-economic upliftment.

End-of-Semester Picnic BBQ at Haymarket Park (May 2023):
In May 2023, AESEDA hosted a memorable end-of-semester picnic BBQ at Haymarket Park. This event marked a joyous conclusion to the semester, bringing together AESEDA members, their loved ones, friends, and graduate students for a day filled with celebration and rejuvenation.
